Last updated:
This policy explains what personal data Côte d'Azur VTC Nice collects when you use cotedazurvtc.com or book a journey, why we collect it, how long we keep it and how to exercise your rights, in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act. This English version is provided for convenience; in the event of any discrepancy, the French version prevails.
1. Data controller
The data controller is Côte d'Azur VTC Nice, whose full details are set out in the legal notice. For any question about your data, email contact@cotedazurvtc.com.
2. Data we collect
Call-back requests: your name, phone number, preferred vehicle and, if you choose, a message.
Bookings (by phone, WhatsApp, text, email or the form): your name, contact details, pick-up and drop-off addresses, date and time, flight or train number, and number of passengers and pieces of luggage.
Mobility needs: if you tell us about them (type of wheelchair, help transferring, assistance, etc.), this information may reveal health data. We only collect it with your explicit consent, and only what is needed to provide the right vehicle and support.
3. Why we use your data, and our legal basis
To respond to your quote or call-back request: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
To arrange and carry out your journey: performance of our contract with you.
For invoicing and accounting: compliance with our legal obligations.
To adapt the vehicle and assistance to your mobility needs: your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
To handle complaints and protect our legal rights: our legitimate interests.
We never send you marketing without your prior consent.
4. Who we share it with
Your data is used by Côte d'Azur VTC Nice and the driver assigned to your journey. It may be shared with our technical service providers (website hosting, messaging, payment), strictly for the service they provide, and with public authorities where required by law.
We never sell or rent your data.
5. Transfers outside the EU
Some providers (such as WhatsApp) may process data outside the European Union, particularly in the United States. These transfers are covered by the safeguards set out in the GDPR (an adequacy decision or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses).
6. How long we keep it
Quote or call-back requests that do not lead to a booking: 12 months from our last contact.
Booking data: for as long as you are a customer, then 5 years as evidence (the standard French limitation period).
Invoices and accounting records: 10 years, as required by the French Commercial Code.
Mobility needs: for as long as needed to carry out your journeys, and deleted as soon as you withdraw your consent.
7. Security
Côte d'Azur VTC Nice takes appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your personal data. You can also withdraw your consent at any time and, under French law, give instructions on what should happen to your data after your death.
To exercise these rights, email contact@cotedazurvtc.com. We will reply within one month. We may ask for proof of identity if we have reasonable doubts about who is making the request.
If you feel your rights have not been respected, you can lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
9. Cookies
This website sets no analytics or advertising cookies, so no cookie banner is needed. If this ever changes, we will ask for your consent first.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example if our services or the law change. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of this page.
